JAMES LEVISON - CO-PRODUCER
James started his career at Daybreak Pictures where he helped produce BAFTA winning BRITZ, THE TRIAL OF TONY BLAIR, THE PROMISE and ENDGAME, which premiered at Sundance and starred William Hurt and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
In 2009 James produced the short film KNOCK OFF by Rosanne Flynn which was shown in film festivals around the world, premiering at the Oscar eligible Athens International Film Festival and winning at the Harlem Film Festival and Underwire Film Festival amongst others. James then completed Rosanne’s second short film, MECONIUM, which premiered at the 2011 BFI London Film Festival and has go on to
screen at Film Festivals around the world including the reputed Hamptons International Film Festival.
James latest short film is PIECES by Jack Weatherley and stars award winning actors Paul Kaye, Alice Lowe, Michael Smiley, Tanya Franks and George McKay, music by Pablo Clements & James Griffith (formerly of UNKLE) and shot by Laurie Rose (Made of Stone, A Field in England). The film is premiering at this years London Film Festival.
James was chosen as an up-coming producer by the British Council and Script Factory for their 2009/2010 European Creative Collaboration Scheme as well as being selected for the 2010/2011 London Film Festival Think Shoot Distribute scheme and the 2011 Edinburgh International Film Festival Talent Lab for promising up coming talent. James is currently taking part in Screen Yorkshire’s Triangle Scheme.
